The Variety

7 Pot Iowa Twister is an extreme superhot pepper known for its twisted, heavily textured pods and intense heat. It is believed to be a cross between a Ghost pepper and a 7 Pot variety, combining strong genetics from both lines.

The pods are typically red and display a gnarly, pimpled surface with a twisted or distorted shape, making them visually distinctive.

Flavor & Heat

7 Pot Iowa Twister delivers intense, high-level heat with a full-bodied flavor typical of 7 Pot peppers. While the heat dominates, it carries underlying depth that works well in sauces and powders.

It is best used sparingly due to its extreme intensity.

Garden Notes

Plant outdoors only after temperatures are consistently warm. Like other extreme superhots, this variety requires a long growing season and performs best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil.

Plants are often high-yielding and may benefit from staking to support fruit load.

🌱 Before You Plant

🌱 Check Night Time Temps

Peppers are warm-season plants and need heat to thrive.

Do not plant outdoors until after the danger of frost has passed and nighttime temperatures stay consistently mild.

Planting too early can slow growth and delay your harvest. Give peppers full sun, warm soil, and a little patience — they’ll take off when the season is right.

🌶️ Why Loud Peppers

We grow peppers across the full spectrum — from approachable to extreme.

7 Pot Iowa Twister represents the highest end of that spectrum, where production meets extreme heat.

From soil to scorch.
