The Variety

Chernobyl Reaper is a rare superhot hybrid built from Carolina Reaper genetics and other high-heat varieties. It is designed to push into extreme heat ranges while maintaining the aggressive pod structure associated with Reaper types.

The fruits are heavily wrinkled and often develop elongated stinger tails, giving them a dramatic and recognizable appearance.

Flavor & Heat

Chernobyl Reaper delivers extreme, long-lasting heat with a strong, punishing burn. Like other chinense superhots, it may carry subtle fruity undertones beneath the heat.

Due to its intensity, it is best used in very small amounts for sauces, powders, and extreme heat applications.

Garden Notes

Plant outdoors only after temperatures are consistently warm. Like other superhot peppers, Chernobyl Reaper requires a long growing season and performs best in full sun with well-drained soil.

Plants benefit from consistent warmth, proper nutrition, and may require staking to support fruit development.

🌱 Before You Plant

🌱 Check Night Time Temps

Peppers are warm-season plants and need heat to thrive.

Do not plant outdoors until after the danger of frost has passed and nighttime temperatures stay consistently mild.

Planting too early can slow growth and delay your harvest. Give peppers full sun, warm soil, and a little patience β€” they’ll take off when the season is right.

🌢️ Why Loud Peppers

We grow peppers across the full spectrum β€” from approachable to extreme.

Chernobyl Reaper represents the upper edge of that spectrum, where modern hybrid genetics push heat to the limit.

From soil to scorch.
