The Variety
Jay’s Pink Lemon Reaper is a rare superhot hybrid developed by Italian grower Marco Sanna. It combines genetics from Jay’s Peach Ghost Scorpion, Pink Tiger, and Reaper Lemon to create a highly complex and visually dynamic cultivar.
The pods undergo dramatic color changes, often beginning deep purple or green and maturing into pale peach, creamy white, or ghostly tones with streaking.
Flavor & Heat
Jay’s Pink Lemon Reaper delivers extreme, lingering heat paired with a clean, fruity, and citrus-forward flavor typical of high-end chinense varieties.
The heat is intense and long-lasting, making it best suited for sauces, powders, and controlled use in extreme spice applications.
Garden Notes
Plant outdoors only after temperatures are consistently warm. Like other superhot peppers, this variety requires a long growing season and performs best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil.
This cultivar is considered somewhat unstable, meaning pod shape, color, and expression may vary between plants. Plants are typically productive and may benefit from support.
🌱 Before You Plant
🌱 Check Night Time Temps
Peppers are warm-season plants and need heat to thrive.
Do not plant outdoors until after the danger of frost has passed and nighttime temperatures stay consistently mild.
Planting too early can slow growth and delay your harvest. Give peppers full sun, warm soil, and a little patience — they’ll take off when the season is right.
🌶️ Why Loud Peppers
